Goals of Musicology in the 21st century
I thought I would start a thread here about what you consider to be the goals of Musicology in the 21st century, and how do these differ from past goals? As a lecturer, how have these goals changed during your teaching experience within higher education (e.g. universities).
You are free to login and respond if you are a musicologist, music educator, or student. To reiterate, sometimes, I feel that the musicology community can often feel quite guarded about their responses but you should feel free to be open and comment here in dialogue with others.
This thread relates to my research on teaching practices in higher education.
