Goals of the Musicological Classroom in Higher Education




I've decided to start this thread to ask two questions:

What are some of the goals of the Musicological Classroom within higher education (e.g., universities) in the 20th and 21st century ?

As a lecturer, how do you turn these goals into classroom activities and assessments?

These questions are linked with my research on teaching practices in higher education.
